This year's Mothers' Day mini-sessions start this weekend at the beautiful Secret Herb Garden just outside Edinburgh and its got me thinking to last years sessions. They took place the weekend before the 'Beast from the East' hit and everything ground to a halt with the snow. I had a lovely day capturing images for lots of families and loved getting to deliver the prints for Mum's across Edinburgh and the Lothians! Fast forward a few months and one of those mum's got back in touch, looking to book an extended family photo-session for her mum's birthday.

Not only was it lovely getting to see the four of them again, it was so nice getting to meet the others in her family and seeing the cousins playing so nicely together. We returned to one of my favourite locations for a chilly walk in the autumnal air hunting for conkers!
