MacDonald

There are so many things I love about my job. Taking beautiful photos - definitely, but I also love getting to meet so many different families, go to some of my favourite locations (or be taken by them to some of their favourite locations!) and have this small window in which to get to know them, have some fun, make memories and as a result be able to give them beautiful photos which capture their personalities and relationships.

One such family was the MacDonald family. It is just over a year since their shoot and it is still one of my favourites. Mum had suggested going to the Ormiston Yew Tree and having a walk about. In at the Yew Tree itself is a bit dark, although awesome and completely worth a visit in itself! In fact I had been to see the Yew tree several times and the walk down is pretty with some remnants of Ormiston Hall lying about so we went for it. What I didn't realise however, was the gorgeous woodland walk just beyond the Yew Tree which they introduced me to, along with their daughter who had such a cheeky smile and always caught my eye and their son, who loved finding a good stick and splashing in muddy puddles! The children clearly loved being outdoors and were a joy to work with....and although I was warned that Dad was camera shy we got lovely relaxed images of him playing with his children and making happy family memories on their regular Sunday afternoon walk.

Here are some more of my favourites....
