My eldest starts school in next month, (25 days to be exact, but who is counting!), so I am really treasuring having time with her since nursery broke up for the summer. We have been up to St Andrews, visiting my parents and brother in Dumfries & Galloway and enjoying various days out with friends more locally as well. Getting time with extended family (even more so at my brothers wedding at the end of June) has been a real highlight, for me, my littles and hopefully the family members too!
For that reason, that feeling, I love extended family shoots. I met with the Borthwick's, their 3 kids, the "kids" other halves and their three grand-kids - so far! We went for a walk down to the gorgeous Penicuik House and were there bright and early enough on a Sunday morning to have the place to ourselves. Getting a chance to capture everyone together, as well as lots of candid, genuine images of them interacting in between is always lots of fun. The steps at the front of Penicuik House made an ideal place for gathering everyone together and the Lyme Avenue to the side of the House is simply stunning. Plus finishing up just in time for a cuppa and a cake from the cafe (which had just opened) was the cherry on the cake (pardon the pun!)
I loved spending time with these guys, and loved the dynamic and interactions between them all. Such a close family, here are a few of my favourites.
Thanks for having me guys - hope you all enjoy the photos for years to come!
